Not all of the B-24s were used as Bombers. The one shown on the Kunming flightline, a C-109 had
all the guns removed and a large tank installed in the bomb bay, they were used to haul fuel into China.
A not-so-cute nickname of "C-One-Oh-Boom" became attached to these flying fuel trucks.
